Parker 26C Open Comb Safety Razor

Open comb head, which is the row of teeth along the front instead of a solid bar. The teeth lift and stretch the skin slightly as the razor moves, and that's what gets you a closer pass. It sounds aggressive and it isn't. Parker put this one out in 2013 and it's held up as a razor that works for a first-timer and still satisfies somebody who's been doing this for years.

Three-piece design, so it comes apart into handle, base plate, and cap. More fiddly to load than a butterfly, easier to clean.

Brass frame under a black anodized finish, 3.4oz. Takes any standard double edge blade.
